Ramos and Stowe Earn April Student Athletes of the Month

Congratulations to Jaylene Ramos from softball and Trevor Stowe from baseball for earning the College of the Desert April Student Athletes of the Month honors.

Softball freshman catcher Jaylene Ramos from Yucca Valley H.S., had hits in all 7 games in the month of April, including two doubles and three triples. She had a career high 4 for 4 day on April 12 in a win on the back-half of a double header at home against Victor Valley.

Baseball freshman right-handed starting pitcher and designated hitter Trevor Stowe from Buffalo H.S. in Buffalo, Wyoming, was 2-1 in four starts over the course of the month of April, setting a school record with 100 strike outs in a season. At the plate, Stowe had 5 multi-hit games, grabbing his 3rd and 4th home runs of the season in the month, including an insane 6 runs batted in a 21-13 wipe out of the Barstow Vikings at home on April 11.
