COD Football sinks the Corsairs, 69-10

COD (1-1) responded to last week's narrow loss on the road by bludgeoning the Santa Monica Corsairs (0-2), putting up their largest point difference since 2001, 69-10. 

The last time the Roadrunners lobbed a 59 point differential, was the second week of the 2001 season at home, versus the LA Pierce Brahmas, with a score of 72-13.

Sophomore defensive lineman Aulsondro Hamilton (Moreno Valley Vista Del Lago) grabbed 5 total tackles on the night for the Roadrunners, including 4.5 tackles for loss totaling 15 yards and snagging 1.5 sacks at Santa Monica, totaling a loss of 11 yards.

Sophomore running back Tony Williams, Jr. (Indio Shadow Hills) defined "All-Purpose" for the Roadrunners as he led the team in receiving yards, grabbing 4 passes for 128 yards, including a long of 73 yards for a score, but Williams also had 5 carries for 15 yards, bringing his total offensive production to 143 yards on the evening.

Sophomore quarterback Noah Shoeman (Murray, UT) had another spectacular evening for the Roadrunners, following up his week one (29-55, 537 yds, 5 TD's) performance with a 12 for 25 night in the fog of Santa Monica, tossing for 275 yards, with a long of 73 yards and 3 scores.
