COD (3-13) took the trip out to Rancho Cucamonga, visiting the home site for former Foothill Conference foe, the Chaffey Panthers in the Chaffey Challenge Tournament.

The Roadrunners opened up the tournament facing a Glendale Vaqueros (9-6) team which had won six of the last ten games and the Vaqueros opened up a big lead early, eventually going into halftime the Roadrunners found themselves down, 52-27. The second half was a completely different story for Desert as they won the half 40-33, but fell in the final tally, 85-67.

Sophomore starting forward Dajuan Fulgham (Montevallo, AL) led the way for the Roadrunners scoring 19 points on 8 of 15 shooting, going 3 for 7 from beyond three-point range and tying three other players for the team lead in boards, with five, and two others in blocks, with two.
