COD Men’s Basketball: Lewis signs letter with La Sierra

COD Men's Basketball sophomore guard Kenny Lewis (Riverside Ramona) has signed a letter of intent with La Sierra University.

Lewis started 25 of 26 games during the 2016-17 season, leading the team in assists, with 82, finishing fourth on the team in points, with 212 and finishing second on the team in total rebounds, with 111. Lewis had a season high 17 points twice on the season, both games were on the road and a season high 10 total boards at home versus Mt. San Jacinto on January 25th.

Under the tutelage of veteran coach Henry Viveros, in his 11th season at the helm, Desert Men's Basketball ended the 2016-2017 season with a record of 4-22 overall and 1-9 in Conference, finishing sixth.

La Sierra University is located in Riverside. The Golden Eagles play in the Alumni Pavilion Gym and the team is coached by 3rd year head coach, Robert Castillo. In the 2016-17 season, the Golden Eagles finished 1-13 in conference play ending the season in 8th place, with an overall record of 2-26. La Sierra is in the California Pacific Conference of the NAIA.
