COD (8-3) faced their opponents twice in less than a week, with the result being the same, a lopsided Roadrunners win over the Imperial Valley Arabs (0-10), 94-67.

Desert ran into the Arabs at the Mt. San Antonio Tournament six days ago and grabbed a 92-60 win, and then a game that was supposed to be at Imperial Valley College was moved to a Roadrunners home game, where Desert collected their second win over the Arabs in less than a week.

Sophomore starting forward Kavonte Kinney (Cathedral City H.S.) snagged his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 15 points on 5 of 11 shooting, going an impressive 4 of 5 from the free throw line and collecting 14 total rebounds on the night.

Sophomore starting guard Joshua Jones (Moreno Valley Valley View) grabbed his first double-double of the season, scoring 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting, including going 3 for 4 from three-point range and grabbing ten total boards. Jones would tie for the team lead in assists with six.

Freshman starting guard Devlin Adams (Moreno Valley H.S.) would contribute 15 points, on 7 of 14 shooting and sophomore starting guard Sam Skipper (Perris H.S.) would add 13 points on 6 of 11 shooting, also tying for the team lead in assists with six.

Sophomore guard Sylvester Franklin (Palm Springs H.S.) would lead all bench scorers with 11 points, going 4 of 6 from the field and going a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc, including leading the team in blocks with two. Freshman guard Marquis McKinzey (Los Angeles John C. Fremont) would leap off of the bench to add nine points, going 3 for 5 from three-point range in the win.
