COD (1-0) took on a season opening double header, traveling to Pershing Park to face the Santa Barbara City Vaqueros (0-1), defeating the Vaqueros, 6-3.

Desert went undefeated in their doubles matches with freshman Kyryll Kryvchun (Vancouver (BC) Learning Network) and freshman Brian Johnson (Palm Springs H.S.) taking a 9-7 win, sophomore Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ) and sophomore Joau Luiz Zillo Prado (São Paulo (Brazil) Ateneu) taking an 8-5 win, and sophomore Dimitrije Vukovic (Burnaby (BC) Moscrop Secondary) and sophomore Marcus Simon (Twentynine Palms H.S.) crushing their opponents, 8-3.

Kryvchurn, Vukovic, and Johnson each defeated their opponent in the first three singles matches of the day, winning in straight sets.

Dvorken, Prado, and Simon fell in the last three singles matches of the day. Simon challenging a hard fought loss in a tiebreaker.

Desert defeated Santa Barbara City 6-3, in a PCAC men's tennis dual match played at Santa Barbara City College.
