COD Men's Tennis continues Conference dominance, shoots down the Comets, 8-1.

COD (5-1; 3-0) secured a victory today in doubles and singles play as the Roadrunners cruised to a Conference win over the Palomar Comets (0-2; 0-2), 8-1.

Freshman Kyryll Kryvchun (Vancouver (BC) Learning Network) continued his unbeaten streak in singles play, where he is 6-0, winning in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-2. Sophomore Dimitrije Vukovic (Burnaby (BC) Moscrop Secondary) also won handily in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-4.

Freshman Brian Johnson (Palm Springs H.S.) followed suit, winning his match in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0.

Sophomore Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ), freshman Joshua Bailin (La Quinta H.S.) and sophomore Marcus Simon (Twentynine Palms) all won in a walkover.

In doubles play, Dvorken and Johnson lost, 8-1, while the Roadrunners' other doubles matches were won in a walkover.

The next match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be on February 27th at 2p, where they will continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-North Division (PCAC-North) by playing the Grossmont Griffins of El Cajon.

Desert defeated Palomar College 8-1, in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
