COD Men’s Tennis faced-off with the Tigers, falling, 6-3

COD (6-2) took on one of the best teams in the state, taking the the Riverside City Tigers (12-0) to the limit in a tough non-conference match-up, falling, 6-3.

Freshman Kyryll Kryvchun (Vancouver (BC) Learning Network) continued his unbeaten streak in singles play, where he is 5-0, winning in straight sets 6-2 and 6-2.

Sophomore Dimitrije Vukovic (Burnaby (BC) Moscrop Secondary), took his competition to three sets, but falling in the third 10-2. The remaining Roadrunner matchups lost in straight sets.

In doubles play, Kryvchun and freshman Brian Johnson (Palm Springs H.S.) won, 8-3 and the duo of Vukovic and Prado had a tougher battle in their match, but triumphed, 9-8.

Sophomore Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ) and partner, freshman Joshua Bailin (La Quinta H.S.) fell to the Tigers, 8-2.

The next match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be on March 6th at 2p, where they will continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-North Division (PCAC-North) by hosting the Imperial Valley Arabs.

Riverside defeated College of the Desert today, 6-3 in non-conference play at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
