COD (8-2; 6-0) rolled to a huge road win, remaining undefeated in Conference play and nearly sweeping the Grossmont Griffins (9-5; 3-1), 8-1.

Freshman Kyryll Kryvchun (Vancouver (BC) Learning Network) continued his unbeaten streak in singles play, where he is 9-0, handily taking the win in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-1.

Sophomore Dimitrije Vukovic (Burnaby (BC) Moscrop Secondary) won his singles set in a hotly contested match, squeaking by 7-6 and 7-5.

Sophomore Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ), sophomore Joau Luiz Zillo Prado (São Paulo (Brazil) Ateneu) and freshman Joshua Bailin (La Quinta H.S.) all won in straight sets.

In doubles play, the team of Kryvchun and freshman Brian Johnson (Palm Springs H.S.) won their first set, 7-5, but then their opponent retired before the completion of the second set, securing the win for the Roadrunners. The team of Vukovic and Prado won their doubles match 6-3 and 6-2 and the team of Bailin and Dvorken also won, 6-4 and 6-1.

The next home match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be on March 15th at 2p, where they will continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) by hosting the San Diego Mesa Olympians of Clairemont Mesa.

College of the Desert defeated Grossmont College, 8-1 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play at Grossmont College in El Cajon.
