COD (12-2; 9-0) continued their impressive run through Conference play as they swept the season series with the Grossmont Griffins (9-5; 4-2), 6-3.

Freshman Kyryll Kryvchun (Vancouver (BC) Learning Network) remained undefeated in both Conference and non-Conference singles play, where he is 14-0, taking the win in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-1.

Sophomore Joau Luiz Zillo Prado (São Paulo (Brazil) Ateneu) and freshman Joshua Bailin (La Quinta H.S.) also won in straight sets.

In doubles play, the team of Kryvchun and freshman Brian Johnson (Palm Springs H.S.) and the team of sophomore Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ) and Bailin won their matches easily. The team of Sophomore Dimitrije Vukovic (Burnaby (BC) Moscrop Secondary) and Prado won narrowly in a hard fought match, 6-4 and 7-6.

The next match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be on the road on April 2nd at 2p, where they will play a rescheduled match from March 22nd by continuing Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) by traveling to the Palomar Comets of San Marcos.

College of the Desert defeated Grossmont, 6-3 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
