COD (13-2; 10-0) hosted their final conference home matchup of the season against the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (13-20; 4-6), sweeping the, 9-0.

Desert honored all of their four sophomore players on "Sophomore Day," as they celebrated Jakob Dvorken, Joau Luiz Zillo Prado, Marcus Simon, Dimitrije Vukovic. Men's Tennis head coach, Ken Thomas commented, "All four gentlemen have turned into excellent student athletes. They will be missed next season."

Freshman Kyryll Kryvchun (Vancouver (BC) Learning Network) remains undefeated taking down Mt. San Jacinto's 2's, 6-0 and 6-0.

Sophomore Dimitrije Vukovic (Burnaby (BC) Moscrop Secondary), freshman Brian Johnson (Palm Springs H.S.) sophomore Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ), of sophomore Joau Luiz Zillo Prado (São Paulo (Brazil) Ateneu) and sophomore Marcus Simon (Twentynine Palms) all grabbed impressive wins in straight sets.

In doubles play, the teams of Kryvchun and Johnson as well as Prado and Vukovic came out victorious, 8-1. The team of Simon and Leon had a tougher time, however, they still came out on top, winning 8-5.

The next match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be on the road on April 5th at 2p, where they will wrap up Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) play for 2018 by traveling to the Imperial Valley Arabs.

College of the Desert defeated Mt. San Jacinto College, 9-0 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
