COD Men’s Cross Country finishes 15th at Mt. SAC Invitational

COD entered their sixth event of the 2017 season at Mount San Antonio in Walnut for the Mt. SAC Invitational, where the team finished 15th overall on the 4 mile course.

The Roadrunners finished with 416 points, grabbing the top spot for Desert in Walnut was sophomore Jesus Garcia (Desert Hot Springs H.S.), collecting a 64th place finish and a time of 24:16.7.

Right behind was freshman David Hernandez (La Quinta H.S.) who finished 75th, collecting a time of 25:09.5 and sophomore Bryan Meyers (La Quinta H.S.), who crossed the finish line at 26:14.6, good enough for 85th place.

Freshman Christian Cardoza (Cathedral City H.S.) wrapped up a 91st place finish with a time of 26:40.8 and sophomore Jose Verdejo (Cordoba (Spain) I.E.S. Séneca) wrapped up the top five for COD with a time of 28:34.0, placing 101st.

Sophomore Albert Blanco (Palm Springs H.S.) finished 106th for the Roadrunners on the afternoon.
