COD Softball fights hard in 6 inning loss to Arabs, 8-0

COD (3-6; 0-2) kept one of the better teams in Southern California at bay for the better part of four innings, but big inning by the Imperial Valley Arabs (16-4; 3-0) doomed the home side, falling, 8-0 in six innings.

Sophomore second baseman Jada Toland (Indio Shadow Hills), batting out of the two hole, grabbed the only hit for the Roadrunners on the afternoon, with a single to center in the bottom of the sixth. When Toland tried to make it into a double, she was thrown out at second base.

Next home game for College of the Desert Softball will be March 9th at 1p, where they will continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play by hosting the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles of Menifee. Hope to see you there.
