COD Softball fights hard in 5 inning loss to Olympians, 18-0

COD (6-16; 2-9) grabbed a single in the first inning and a single in the second inning as the Roadrunners fought hard in a five inning loss to the San Diego Mesa Olympians (17-10; 7-5), 18-0.

Sophomore short stop and leadoff hitter Jada Toland (Indio Shadow Hills) crushed a single to right field to lead off the bottom of the first and freshman right fielder Kaitlin Manning (Palm Desert Xavier Prep) grabbed a single to center field, but unfortunately, that would be all the offense for the Roadrunners on the afternoon.

Next home game for College of the Desert Softball will be Saturday, April 7th at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., where they will host a double header with Victor Valley Rams at 11 a.m. and the Compton Tartars at 3:30 p.m. Hope to see you there.
