RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. -- Despite having three players score in double-figures, College of the Desert (11-14, 1-5) women's basketball suffered a 70-57 defeat at the hands of Foothill Conference foe, Chaffey, Wednesday evening in Rancho Cucamonga.
Freshman guard Kelcey Beckham (Indio, CA/Indio HS) led the Lady Roadrunners with 14 points, three assists and one steal, while freshman center Ashley Preist (Yucca Valley, CA/Yucca Valley HS) recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman guard Bianca Gutierrez (Palm Desert, CA/Palm Desert HS) was also in double-figures, as she scored 10 points.
College of the Desert continues its Foothill Conference schedule this Saturday when they travel to San Bernardino. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
