Women's Basketball Narrowly Misses on Major Foothill Upset

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- College of the Desert (11-15, 1-6) women's basketball narrowly missed an upset of Foothill-leader, San Bernardino, on Saturday afternoon, as the Lady Roadrunners fell in an intense affair, 88-82.

Freshman guard Reina West led the Lady Roadrunners with 21 points off the bench in Saturday's near-miss, knocking down four three-pointers in the process. Sophomore guard Bianca Gutierrez scored 18 points and added four assists, while freshman forward Chelsea Reese added 12.  Preist tallied her 12th double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, as sophomore guard Leslie Segovia netted 10 points.

Women's basketball hosts Foothill foe, Rio Hondo, this Wednesday at 7 p.m.
