COD (1-17; 1-2) turned a corner under first year coach Timi Brown and received her first win helming the Roadrunners program as they turned back the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (4-13; 0-2), 51-36.

COD (0-17; 0-2) struggled from beyond the arc (0-7) and from the free throw line (9-19), but dominated in the paint, winning the rebounding war 57 to 46. Unfortunately, the Roadrunners stopped scoring with over 6 minutes left in the game and the MiraCosta Spartans of Oceanside (12-5; 1-1) handed Desert a home loss, 60-35.

COD (0-15) played a strong first half of basketball, but losing “The Battle of the Boards” and “The Battle in the Paint,” as well as a late push by the Grossmont Griffins (2-12) proved to be the difference, as the Roadrunners fell, 80-63.

COD (0-12) started 2019 with a bang as they opened up the New Year at home, taking an early 18-15 lead at the end of the first quarter, but turnovers and second chance points proved to be a problem, as the Compton Tartars (1-11) won, 65-46.
