Women's Golf Places Third at Twin Oaks

SAN MARCOS, Calif. - College of  the Desert women's golf finished in third out of nine teams competing in their Orange Empire Conference match yesterday morning in San Marcos at the Twin Oaks golf course.

Freshman Yi Chen Tsai (Taiwan/Oversea) tallied the best score in the match, with a one-over 73, while sophomore Fumika Matsumoto (Japan/Chiba-Ketzai) shot a 78.  

Freshman Kabrea Rosas (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS) performed well with a 91, with sophomore Briana Luna (Desert Hot Springs, CA/DHSHS) and freshman Nadia Herrera (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS) rounding out the COD participants by shooting 97 and 101, respectively.  

College of the Desert now sits in second place in the conference, and will return to the course Wednesday afternoon for a 12 p.m. Orange Empire Conference match in Diamond Bar.
