Women's Golf Paces Conference With Sixth Place Finish at Morro Bay

MORRO BAY, Calif. - College of the Desert women's golf placed sixth out 19 teams to lead all Orange Empire Conference members at the North/South Invitational over the past two days in Morro Bay.

Sophomore Fumika Matsumoto (Japan/Chiba-Ketzai HS) and freshman Kabrea Rosas (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS) each shot two-day totals of 158 to lead the Lady Roadrunners.  Matsumoto shot a 77 and 81, while Rosas shot an 82 and 76.  Freshman Yi Chen Tsai (Taiwan/Oversea HS) also added a 79 and 88 over the two days.

Women's golf returns to Orange Empire Conference play this Wednesday for an 11 a.m. match in Costa Mesa.
