COD Women's Golf participated in their seventh event of the 2017 season, as the team finished 1st and sophomore Li Chi Liu (Palm Desert H.S.) collected a 1st place individual finish.

The Roadrunners sent five participants to its fourth event on the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) calendar, which was hosted at the par-72 Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego.

All four PCAC teams participated in this event, with the Roadrunners hitting nine strokes ahead of their nearest competition, Cuyamaca College.

Desert would finish with 361 points, which was four-strokes better than their previous effort nine days ago at Ironwood at the PCAC event in Palm Desert.

Liu resumed her dominance from the week before, as she shot a five-over 77, which was eight strokes better than her opponent from Cuaymaca College.

Freshman Zoe Walker (Palm Desert Xavier Prep.) shot an 86, which was her best score since the Desert Classic on September 1st and 2nd and five-under her last PCAC event. Freshman Natalie Brugler (Santa Cruz Soquel) shot an 87, and just like Walker, presented her best score since the Desert Classic on September 1st and 2nd and shot five-under her last PCAC event.

Shooting a 111 was freshman Vivica Garcia (Thermal Coachella Valley). Sophomore Alexa Perez (Indio Shadow Hills) shot a 119 to wrap up the day for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance in the fifth PCAC event for 2017, at Sycuan Golf Resort in El Cajon on Monday, October 2.
