COD Women’s Golf takes 2nd at Twin Oaks, Liu finishes in 1st

COD Women's Golf participated in their ninth event of the 2017 season, as the team finished 2nd and sophomore Li Chi Liu (Palm Desert H.S.) collected a 1st place individual finish.

The Roadrunners sent five participants to its sixth event on the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) calendar, which was hosted at the par-72 Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos.

All four PCAC teams participated in this event, with the Roadrunners hitting two strokes ahead of their nearest competition, Mt. San Jacinto College. Desert would finish with 372 points, the event was won by Cuyamaca College.

Liu resumed her dominance from the week before, as she shot a four-over 77, which was three strokes better than her opponent from Cuyamaca College.

Freshman Zoe Walker (Palm Desert Xavier Prep.) shot an 85, which was her best score since the PCAC Number 4 on September 27th. Freshman Natalie Brugler (Santa Cruz Soquel) shot a 95.

Shooting a 111 was freshman Vivica Garcia (Thermal Coachella Valley). Sophomore Alexa Perez (Indio Shadow Hills) shot a 118 to wrap up the day for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance in the seventh PCAC event for 2017, at San Clemente Municipal Golf Course in San Clemente on Wednesday, October 11.
