COD Women’s Golf wins fifth straight OEC match

COD continues to roll, as sophomore Lilyanna Rodriguez (Palm Desert H.S.) helps keep the Roadrunners momentum going heading into this weekend's North-South Invitational in Morro Bay.

The Roadrunners sent five participants to its seventh event, which was hosted at the par-72 Costa Mesa Country Club on the Mesa Linda Course in Costa Mesa. Desert would finish with 325 points, eight strokes ahead of host and second place finisher, the Mt. San Antonio Mounties.

Rodriguez led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting six-over 78 and finishing third individually on the day.

Freshman Morgan Preece (Imperial H.S.) also brought in a six-over 78, tying her second best performance of the season and freshman Raegan Preece (Imperial H.S.) shot an 83.

Freshman Maddie Jones (Palm Desert H.S.) shot an 86 and freshman Isabelle Smith (Indio Shadow Hills) shot a 108 to wrap up the day for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance at the first round of the North-South Invitational at Morro Bay Golf Club on California's Central Coast beginning on Sunday, September 22.
