COD Women’s Golf opens up huge lead after 1st round of OEC Finals

The Roadrunners ended the first round of the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Finals with a 24-stroke lead at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills, taking that lead into the Final round on Wednesday. 

COD built a 24-stroke lead ahead of the Mt. San Antonio Mounties, with the Roadrunners amassing a total score of 329 on the par 74 course.

Freshman Raegan Preece (Imperial H.S.) led the way for the Roadrunner as she shot a five-over, 79 and right behind her was freshman Maddie Jones (Palm Desert H.S.) was right behind her as she shot a seven-over, 81.

Sophomore Lilyanna Rodriguez (Palm Desert H.S.) shot an eight-over, 82 and freshman Morgan Preece (Imperial H.S.) shot an 87.

Freshman Isabelle Smith (Indio Shadow Hills) tied for her second best score of the season, shooting a 102 on the afternoon.
