COD Women’s Golf grabs best finish yet, Preece finishes 5th

COD Women's Golf finished 2nd as two golfers set their season best with sophomore Demi Preece (Imperial H.S.) leading the way with a 79.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its sixth event. Desert traveled to their fourth Orange Empire Conference (OEC) event of the season, this time the event was at the par-72, Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course in Mission Viejo. Desert would finish with 338 points, which was 1 stroke ahead of third place finisher, Fullerton. Saddleback would win the event with 315 points.

Preece led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting a 7-over, 79 and freshman Jensen Kelly (Imperial (SK) Imperial School) shot her second-best score of the season, shooting an 84. Freshman Sam Miller (Valley Center H.S.) shot her best score of the season, shooting a 90 and sophomore Yvonne Pretorius (La Quinta H.S.) shot her season best 87. COD will make their next appearance at El Prado Golf Club - Chino Creek Course in Chino on Wednesday, October 5 as they continue OEC play.
