COD Women's Golf places 2nd in OEC match

COD Women's Golf played in their third Conference match finishing 2nd with sophomore Lehapi Veikune Taungahihifo (Rancho Mirage H.S.) leading the way with an impressive 6-over 70, finishing tied for third individually.

The Roadrunners sent four participants to the third event of the season. The event held in Costa Mesa at the par-70 Costa Mesa Country Club reached a cool high of 75. Desert would finish second with 352 points which was just one stroke ahead of third place finisher, Fullerton. The Mt. San Antonio Mounties of Walnut would win the event with 318 points.

Veikune led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting an impressive 6-over 70, finishing tied for third individually. Freshman Kayla Speer (Yucaipa H.S.) finished shooting an 87 and sophomore Jensen Kelly (Imperial (SK) School) tied for her second best score, shooting an 87. Sophomore Samantha Miller (Valley Center H.S.) wrapped up the morning for the Roadrunners with her second best score of the season for a 102.
