COD Women's Soccer wins at Miramar, 1-0

COD Women's Soccer wins at Miramar, 1-0

Post game for 9.14.18 at SD Miramar; opening of PCAC North play the Roadrunners went on the road to get a much needed W. With a back and forth 1st half, COD started connecting and started putting together some opportunities only to be denied on several occasions by the Miramar defense & goalkeeper. However in the 86th minute freshman defender Victoria Relerford (Rancho Mirage H.S.) was taken down in the box by the defender to set-up the GW penalty kick from sophomore defender Alexi Mejia (La Quinta H.S.) who notched her 1st goal in a Roadrunner uniform. The team defense on the day worked very hard as a collective group and the Shutout was preserved on a split effort by freshman goal keeper Marqisha Zamudio-Ontiveros (Thermal Coachella Valley) in the 1st Half & freshman goal keeper Kaylin Eastman (Indio Shadow Hills) in the 2nd 45 minutes.
