COD Women's Soccer ties with MiraCosta, 1-1

Tuesday's match was a tough battle within the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-North division, between the second place MiraCosta College and third place College of the Desert. The Roadrunners would get on the scoreboard 1st, with a goal coming from freshman forward Savannah Cervantes (Rancho Mirage H.S.) coming off an assist by sophomore midfielder Alexi Mejia (La Quinta H.S.) from the right flank in the 27th minute. However the Spartans would answer back shortly after with a free kick goal from 30 yards in the 35th minute. The 2nd half would see chances squandered by both sides, as the match would finish at a stalemate of 1-1, a very solid game defensively by the whole team.

COD Women's Soccer will wrap the regular season on Friday November 9th at 6:00pm in the COD Football Stadium on Boone Field. This will mark our annual celebration of our sophomore players who have dedicated two seasons of being a student-athlete in our program.
