COD Women’s Volleyball: Dashner named PCAC Athlete of the Month

COD Women's Volleyball sophomore outside hitter Baylie Dashner (La Quinta H.S.) was named the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference's (PCAC) Female Athlete of the Month for the month of September.

According to the release, issued by PCAC Sports Information Director, Brad Hoiseth, "Dasher was solid for College of the Desert in indoor volleyball this past month as the Roadrunners went 10-0 in September. She finished with 135 kills, 54 digs and 16 service aces and currently ranks fourth in the state in kills-per-set. Dashner had double-digits in kills in nine of 10 matches in September, with a high of 19 against Antelope Valley on September 19."

Dashner was not the only Roadrunner honored by the PCAC for the month of September as Desert Men's Soccer freshman forward Alejandro Pimentel (Thermal Desert Mirage) was named the PCAC Male Athlete of the Month and Desert Women's Soccer freshman goal keeper Marqisha Zamudio-Ontiveros (Thermal Coachella Valley) was named Honorable Mention.
