COD Women's Volleyball: Baylie Dashner signs with Dickinson

COD Women's Volleyball sophomore Baylie Dashner (La Quinta H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with the Dickinson State Blue Hawks.

The 5-11 outside hitter from La Quinta High School was named first team all-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. Dashner finished 1st in conference and 25th in the state in kills, with a total of 312 collected on the season. She was 1st in conference and 17th in state for kills per set, averaging 3.86 in 2019. Dashner collected a season high of 24 kills in a conference match at Palomar, on October 19th. In 2017, she was also named second team all-PCAC-North.

Under seventh year co-head coaches, Marion Champion and Detlev Rothe, Desert ended the 2018 season with a record of 20-5 overall and 7-3 in conference, the first season since 2007 to collect 20 or more wins, finishing third in the PCAC-North.

The University of Dickinson is located in North Dakota and competes in the North Star Athletic Association, a conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Blue Hawks, under four-year head coach Jenna Hartman, finished the 2018-2019 season with an overall record of 7-23 and North Star record of 5-9.
