COD Women’s Cross Country finishes 12th at Brubaker Invitational

COD ran in their fifth event of the 2018 season at Irvine Regional Park in Orange for the Brubaker Invitational, where the team finished 12th overall on the 5k course.

The Roadrunners finished with 298 points, grabbing the top spot again for Desert in Orange was freshman Jasmin Gallegos (Indio Shadow Hills), collecting a 32nd place finish and a time of 21:38.

Sophomore Brandie Lopez (La Quinta H.S.) finished 49th,with a time of 22:55, her second best time of 2018 thus far, and freshman Yesenia Velazquez-Hernandez (Thermal Desert Mirage) finished with her best time of 2018 at 26:55.

Freshman Gladys Blanco (Rancho Mirage H.S.) wrapped up a 75th place finish with a time of 31:02 and freshman Elena Moro (Thermal Coachella Valley) wrapped up the top five for the Roadrunners with a finish of 31:19 which is her best result of 2018.
