COD Women’s Cross Country finishes 9th at Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational

COD ran in their sixth event of the 2018 season at Mt. San Antonio in Walnut for the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational, where the team finished 9th overall on the 5k course.

The Roadrunners finished with 217 points, once again taking the top spot for Desert at Mt. SAC was freshman Jasmin Gallegos (Indio Shadow Hills), collecting a 27th place finish and a time of 21:27.

Sophomore Brandie Lopez (La Quinta H.S.) finished 31st, with a time of 22:20, grabbing her best result of 2018 improving by 32 seconds and freshman Yesenia Velazquez-Hernandez (Thermal Desert Mirage) finished 51st with a time of 27:58.

Freshman Gladys Blanco (Rancho Mirage H.S.) wrapped up a 53rd place finish with a time of 29:54 and freshman Elena Moro (Thermal Coachella Valley) wrapped up the top five for the Roadrunners beating her best time of 2018 by 56 seconds, crossing the line at 30:23.
