COD Women’s Cross Country finishes 3rd at IEAC Championship

Desert wrapped up October with their final event of the regular season at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga for the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) Championship where the team finished 3rd.

COD finished with 52 points and crossing the line first for the Roadrunners was sophomore Naibe Ruelas (Indio H.S.) in 3rd place, with a time of 22:18.3.

Right behind Ruelas was sophomore Jasmin Gallegos (Indio Shadow Hills) in 4th place, with a time of 22:29.6 and freshman Stephany Ramirez-Lopez (Cathedral City H.S.) who finished the race in 10th place, with a time of 23:42.

Freshman Natalia Johnson (Indio Shadow Hills) crossed the line 16th place, with a time of 25:38.6 and freshman Christina Peters (Cathedral City H.S.) finished the race in a 19th place, with a time of 29:29.1.

Finishing up the race for the Roadrunners was Freshman Jacqueline Garcia Rodriguez (Indio H.S.) with a time of 31:35.9 and sophomore Gladys Blanco (Rancho Mirage H.S.) with a time of 35:59.2.
