COD Women’s Cross Country send 3 to CCCAA State Finals, team finishes 20th

COD ran at Mission Bay Park in San Diego for the So Cal Championships, where the team finished 20th overall on the 5 kilometer course.

The Roadrunners finished with a total of 498 points, crossing the line first for COD, and qualifying for the CCCAA State Finals in Fresno was sophomore Naibe Ruelas (Indio H.S.) in 45th place, with a time of 21:43.4.

Sophomore Jasmin Gallegos (Indio Shadow Hills) crossed the line in 80th place, with a time of 22:40.9 and right behind her was freshman Stephany Ramirez-Lopez (Cathedral City H.S.) finishing the race in 85th place, with a time of 22:54.7. Both Gallegos and Ramirez-Lopez joined their teammate Ruelas in qualifying for the CCCAA State Finals.

Freshman Natalia Johnson (Indio Shadow Hills) crossed the line in 144th place, with a time of 25:36.9 and freshman Christina Peters (Cathedral City H.S.) finished the race in 166th place, with a time of 27:06.4.

Wrapping up the race for the Roadrunners was freshman Jacqueline Garcia Rodriguez (Indio H.S.) with a time of 28:33.2 and freshman Jennifer Avila (Indio H.S.) with a time of34:10.1.
