Judy Howard
Administrative Assistant

After a year of temping in several departments on the COD campus, Judy permanently joined the Kinesiology and Athletics Department as Administrative Assistant in April 2016.

Judy was born and raised in Everett, Washington.  After graduating from Everett High School, she worked in Seattle in the insurance and legal professions.  In 1994 Judy decided rust really wasn’t the same as a tan and moved to Palm Springs – the land of blue skies, sunshine, and warm/hot weather.  Before landing at College of the Desert, she worked for a small law firm in Palm Springs, and then for a local international franchise company. 

Coming from a family of arm chair athletes, Judy was always interested in sports, but was never much of an athlete. Working in the Kinesiology and Athletics Department gives her the opportunity to be around sports and athletes. “It’s terrific to work with such a great group of people and help the student athletes achieve their goals.”

In her spare time Judy enjoys reading, going to movies, and needlepointing.
