COD Men’s Golf finishes 3rd in El Cajon

COD Men's Golf participated in their fourteenth event of the 2018 season at the eighth event for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, as the team finished in 3rd place out of 5 teams.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its fourteenth event, which was hosted by Cuyamaca College at the Sycuan Golf Resort in El Cajon. Desert would finish in third place with 385 points, seven strokes behind winner, Palomar.

Sophomore Samuel Berglund (Victoria (AUS) Rowville Secondary College) led the way for the Roadrunners with a two-over 74, which was his best round since his appearance at the Westin Mission Hills - Gary Player Course in Rancho Mirage on March 21st.

Freshman Joseph Bogaert (Ghent (BE) Sint-Barbara College) shot a strong three-over, 75 and freshman Clement Heurtin (Nantes (FR) NDTA) shot a four-over, 76.

Freshman Nicklaus Marshall (Bermuda Dunes) and freshman Mitchel McComber (Redlands Citrus Valley) both shot an eight-over, 80 and sophomore Steven Wang (Taipei (TW) Municipal Nei-Hu Senior) wrapped things up for the Roadrunners with a 12-over, 84 on the morning.

COD will make their next appearance at Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning on Monday, April 16 as they continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) play.
