COD Men’s Golf finishes 5th at El Cajon

COD Men's Golf participated in their third event of the 2019 season, as the team finished in 5th place out of 9 teams.

The Roadrunners sent five participants to its third event, which was hosted at the par-72, Sycuan Golf Course in El Cajon. Desert would finish with 392 points, 18 strokes behind winner, Palomar.

Sophomore Clement Heurtin (Nantes (FR) NDTA) led the way for the Roadrunners, nailing a 1-over, 73 on the afternoon.

Sophomore Maxime Faure (Deauville (FR) Lycee Andre Malraux) followed that up with an impressive 5-over, 77 tying his second best performance on the season. Finishing close behind, sophomore Michael Choma (La Quinta H.S.) shot 7-over, 79.

Sophomore Jordan Clark (Poway H.S.) added a 9-over 81 score as freshman Bailey Spivak (Palm Desert H.S.) closed the event for Desert, with a 10-over 82 score.

COD will make their next appearance at the Soboba Springs Golf Course in San Jacinto at the Mt. San Jacinto Eagle Classic on Wednesday, February 13.
