Thomas has been named the Head Men’s Golf Coach for the 2018-19 season.

Thomas Mainez is an All American out of UC Davis who played a couple of events on the Nike Tour in 1999 and had previously coached at CSU San Bernardino for 11 seasons . Mainez’ coaching highlight was nearly winning the DII Men’s Golf NCAA Championship in 2009 losing in a playoff.

Mainez resides in Highland, CA and attended San Gorgonio High School where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007 for his achievments in golf.

During his high school career he was a 4 time lettermen as well as 4x All League and 3 time All CIF. To date Mainez still holds 4 high school golf course scoring records.

After high school, Mainez attended UC Davis where he played Men’s Golf earning All America honors in 1991 and competed in the East/West All Star Golf Match. In 1991 he was the only freshman to earn All America Honors.

After earning his BS in Kinesiology in 1995 he continued his education at National University earning his Masters in 2003.

Currently he is employed with the Colton joint Unified School District as a PE instructor.

In his spare time he enjoys playing music with his band Mirage Groove and traveling in his RV. He also enjoys spending time with his 2 best 4 paw friends Princess and Bonzee.
