Returning in the 2019 season after an 18-year hiatus from the Roadrunners, Guy Fritz made a triumphant homecoming. Fritz, who led the Roadrunners from 1990-2000, guiding Desert to seven CCCAA State Titles and a National Championship in 1998.

Coach Fritz had an immediate impact on the Roadrunners directing the 2019 squad to a 15-1 overall record and a 12-0 conference record, wrapping up the regular season winning their final nine matches. They were rewarded with the #3 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. Rolling through the playoffs they won the "Triple Crown" at the CCCAA State Championships, winning the Singles and Doubles titles as well as the team Championship. After a near two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Coach Fritz returned the Roadrunners to their rightful place, a top the CCCAA Men's Tennis mountain. Claiming the Roadrunners 16th Championship and 9th under Fritz. Read about those 2022 accomplishments HERE
