COD Men’s Cross Country finishes 7th at PCAC Finals

Desert moved onto their final team event of the 2016 season at Mission Bay in San Diego for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships, where the team finished 7th overall on the 4 mile course.

The Roadrunners finished with 175 points, outpacing Imperial Valley College by 41 points. Grabbing the top spot for Desert in San Diego was freshman Hakan Larssen (Temecula Great Oak) improved 34.4 seconds over last week's finish time, collecting a 26th place finish and a time of 23:33.6.

Finishing a strong 30th place was freshman Jesus Adrian Felix (Thermal Coachella Valley) who collected a time of 23:54.0 and freshman Bryan Meyers (La Quinta H.S.), surpassed his previous best by 2.2 seconds, crossing the finish line at 25:03.5, good enough for 46th place.

Sophomore David Ochoa (Indio Shadow Hills) wrapped up a 49th place finish with a time of 25:20.7, and sophomore Juan Angel Perez (Palm Desert H.S.) wrapped up the top five for Desert with a time of 25:54.9, finishing in 46th place.

Freshman Brandon Arellano (Indio Shadow Hills) and Freshman Jesus Garcia (Desert Hot Springs H.S.) finished 48th and 52nd for the Roadrunners on the afternoon. Gonzalez-Silva dropped an impressive 2:04.6 off of last week's finish time.
