COD Men’s Cross Country finishes 11th at Palomar Invitational

COD opened the 2017 season at Guajome Regional Park in Oceanside for the Palomar Invitational, where the team finished 11th overall on the 4-mile course. 

The Roadrunners finished with 310 points, grabbing the top spot for Desert in Oceanside was sophomore Jesus Garcia (Desert Hot Springs H.S.), collecting a 52nd place finish and a time of 25:11.4.

Right on Garcia's heels was sophomore Bryan Meyers (La Quinta H.S.) who finished 54th, collecting a time of 25:44.3 and freshman Christian Cardoza (Cathedral City H.S.), who crossed the finish line at 26:45.0, good enough for 63rd place.

Sophomore Albert Blanco (Palm Springs H.S.) wrapped up a 70th place finish with a time of 30:17.6 and sophomore Jose Verdejo (Cordoba (Spain) I.E.S. Séneca) wrapped up the top five for COD with a time of 30:20.8, finishing in 71st place.

Freshman Miguel Espinola (Palm Desert H.S.) finished 74th for the Roadrunners on the afternoon.
