COD Men’s Cross Country finishes 12th at Central Park Classic

COD ran in their third event of the 2018 season at Central Park in Huntington Beach for the Golden West Central Park Classic, where the team finished 12th overall on the 4-mile course.

The Roadrunners finished with 349 points, grabbing the top spot for Desert in Huntington Beach was freshman Johnathan Diaz-Reyes (Indio H.S.), collecting a 53rd place finish and a time of 23:39.24.

Sophomore Christian Cardoza (Cathedral City H.S.) finished 64th, collecting a time of 25:27.00, dropping his previous best by 3 seconds and freshman Andrew Limon (Indio Shadow Hills) crossed the finish line at 28:00.55, well enough for 75th place.

Freshman Bronn Olson (Palm Desert H.S.) wrapped up a 77th place finish with a time of 28:21.74, dropping 68 seconds from his previous 2018 best time and right on Olson's heels was freshman Bryan Hinojosa (Indio H.S.), who wrapped up the top five for COD with a time of 29:54.47, finishing in 80th place in his first event of 2018.

Sophomore Miguel Espinola (Palm Desert H.S.) and freshman Guillermo Blanco (Rancho Mirage H.S.) finished 82nd and 86th respectively for the Roadrunners on the afternoon.
