COD Women’s Basketball: Munayco signs with Dakota State

COD Women's Basketball sophomore Alissa Munayco (Indio Shadow Hills) has signed with the Dakota State University Trojans.

Starting guard Alissa Munayco competed as a student-athlete at College of the Desert for both her freshman and sophomore years, playing an integral role on the women's basketball program. Her best game was on Nov. 29th at Santa Ana, where she scored 15 points, hitting two of those field goals from beyond the arch and finished 50 percent at the free-throw line.

Dakota State University is located in Madison, South Dakota and specializes in computer sciences. The Trojans compete in the North Star Athletic Association, a conference within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Under second-year head coach David Moe, the Trojans finished the 2018-2019 season with an overall record of 4-25 and a conference record of 3-11.
