Women's Golf Earns Second Place in Orange Empire Match

CHINO, Calif. - College of the Desert women's golf picked up yet another second place finish, as their team score of 325 placed  them just three strokes behind the winner of their Orange Empire Conference match Wednesday morning in Chino.

Sophomore Fumika Matsumoto (Japan/Chiba-Ketzai) led all golfers with a three-under 69, while freshman Yi Chen Tsai (Taiwan/Oversea) shot an 80.  Freshman Kabrea Rosas (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta) added an 81, with freshmen Nadia Herrera's (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta) 95 and Dominique Healey's (Murrieta, CA/Murrieta Mesa) 104 rounding out the Lady Roadrunner participants.

College of the Desert will be back in action Monday, October 19 for an Orange Empire Conference match in Banning.  Tee time is set for 12 p.m.
