Women's Golf Ends Regular Season With First Place Finish

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. - College of the Desert women's golf finished up its 2015 regular season with a first place finish at yesterday morning's Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match in Mission Viejo.

The Lady Roadrunners tallied a team score of 341, which set them 15 strokes ahead of the runner-up.  Sophomore Fumika Matsumoto (Japan/Chiba-Ketzai), who led the OEC in average score per round, shot a 73, while freshman Kabrea Rosas (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS) followed with an 84.

Freshman Nadia Herrera (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS) shot an 88, while freshman Dominique Healey (Murrieta, CA/Murrieta Mesa HS) and sophomore Briana Luna (Desert Hot Springs, CA/DHSHS) completed the COD participants with scores of 96 and 107, respectively.  

College of the Desert finishes with an overall record of 68-12, ranking them second in the OEC.  They will compete in the two-day conference tournament beginning next Monday, October 26.
