COD Women’s Golf continues to roll as they remain undefeated in Conference

COD just keeps winning golf matches, as sophomore Lilyanna Rodriguez (Palm Desert H.S.) helps keep the Roadrunners momentum going by winning their fourth consecutive Orange Empire Conference event.

The Roadrunners sent five participants to its sixth event, which was hosted at the par-72 Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course in Mission Viejo. Desert would finish with 314 points, six strokes ahead of host and second place finisher, the Saddleback Gauchos.

Rodriguez led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting a season best one-under 71, finishing first individually on the day.

Freshman Maddie Jones (Palm Desert H.S.) shot her second best round of 2019, shooting an eight-over 80 and freshman Morgan Preece (Imperial H.S.) shot a nine-over 81.

Freshman Raegan Preece (Imperial H.S.) shot an 82 and freshman Isabelle Smith (Indio Shadow Hills) shot her second best round of 2019, shooting a 103 to wrap up the day for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance at Costa Mesa Country Club on the Mesa Linda Course in Costa Mesa on Wednesday, September 18 as they continue the Orange Empire Conference play.
