Under fourth-year head coach Garrett Estrin, Desert finished the regular season with a record 9-8-3 overall and 5-3-2 in conference. The Roadrunners placed 2nd in the North Division, collecting the most team wins since 1999 as Estrin was elected PCAC-North Coach of the Year.

Women's Soccer collected some notable victories in 2018 as they defeated Miramar for the first time in program history, sweeping the Jets this season and winning at Palomar for the first time in program history, sweeping the Comets this season as well.

Sophomore forward Jiana Guerrero (La Quinta H.S.) was named All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference–North Division (PCAC-North). She collected 7 goals on the season earning her a 6th place in conference for goals scored. Guerrero had a total of 15 starts and found her teammates for 5 assists. Her best performance was during a home game on October 3rd against El Camino where she had a hat trick.

Also named All-PCAC-North was sophomore midfielder Alexi Mejia (La Quinta H.S.). She also placed 6th in conference in goals scored with 7 goals. She started 17 games and found her teammates for 11 assists landing her second in conference for assists. Mejia scored the game winning goal on a penalty kick on September 14th at San Diego Miramar in the 86th minute.

Sophomore defender Taylor Doyle (La Quinta H.S.) was also named All-PCAC-North. She started in 19 games and collected 4 assists. October 2nd at Imperial Valley, Doyle contributed two assists in the 6-1 victory.

Additionally, freshman defender Yesenia Torres (Thermal Desert Mirage) was named All-PCAC-North. She collected a total of 17 starts and two goals. At home on October 26th against San Diego Miramar, Torres went one for two shots on goal. She finished the season with the second highest shooting percentage for the Roadrunners.

Sophomore defender Fernanda Rodriguez (Thermal Coachella Valley) and sophomore midfielder Samantha Toriche (Cathedral City H.S.) received honorable mentions. Rodriguez finished the season with 13 starts and maintained a strong defensive presence. Toriche put minutes in a total of 13 games this season and help maintain the game tempo for the Roadrunners.

Also, to receive honorable mention is freshman forward Jaidah Martin (Rancho Mirage H.S.) and freshman defender Delaney Hall (Palm Desert H.S.). Martin played in 19 games on the season and collected one goal and two assists. Hall started all but one game in her freshman season contributing defensively to the winningest season since 1999.

Additionally, receiving honorable mention for the Roadrunners was freshman goal keeper Marqisha Zamudio-Ontiveros (Thermal Coachella Valley). She collected the bulk of the minutes in net for Desert in 2018, recording 10 starts and grabbing 82 saves with a save percentage of .845 on the season, earning her a fourth spot in conference for both saves and save percentage.
