2022 will mark Jorge Polanco's seventh season as lead Assistant Coach with the College of the Desert Roadrunners Women's soccer program. Coach Polanco is going into his 22nd year of coaching the beautiful game. His previous college coaching stops included gaining experience at Golden West College in 2003 Volunteer Assistant on both the men and women's side, then moving on to be Volunteer Men's Assistant at Long Beach City College in 2005.

Coach Polanco has served as a coach at the high school level as well, amassing and overall record of 166-92-8 in his years at Cabrillo High School from 2000-2005 with the boys' program, and 2005-2010 with the girls' program. In 2013, Coach Polanco took over this girls' program at Cathedral City High School, and his teams have earned CIF berths in each of his first nine seasons. His 2015-2016 team would advance all the way to the quarterfinals. In his CCHS tenure, the Lady Lions have accumulated a 133 wins against only 69 losses, and 16 ties, with one DVL League Title, two DVL MVP's and two All-CIF players.

Since coach Polanco's arrival here in the Coachella Valley, he has been very involved with development in youth soccer on the club soccer scene. He spent time coaching the Palm Springs Havoc girls' club, and in 2012 he was one of the co-founders of the Desert Elite FC (DEFC) Natives. Currently Coach Polanco is the President of Natives Futbol Academy (NFA) based in Coachella Valley with Girls & Boys teams of all ages.
