Congratulations to Dalaina Johnson from women's soccer and Miguel Rangel Fuentes from men's soccer for earning the College of the Desert August Student Athletes of the Month honors.

Women's Soccer freshman forward Dalaina Johnson from Cathedral City H.S., started in two lopsided wins to begin the 2022 season. The impact player scored a pair of goals in a 9-0 win at San Diego Miramar on August 26 and scored another pair of goals in a 7-0 win at home verus Imperial Valley.

Men's Soccer freshman goal keeper Miguel Rangel Fuentes from Rancho Mirage H.S. held the defending Orange Empire Conference Champs, the Golden West Rustlers, to a clean sheet on the road on August 30.
