Moss and Mejia Earn February Student Athletes of the Month

Congratulations to Hana Moss from women's tennis and Jacob Mejia from baseball for earning the College of the Desert February Student Athletes of the Month honors.

Women's Tennis freshman Hana Moss from Sweetwater Union H.S. in National City, is undefeated in all 4 doubles matches (3 with doubles partner Emunah Daffon and 1 with doubles partner Maryn Patek) and also undefeated in all 4 singles matches as well, a combined singles score of 48-7 during the month of February. Moss is atop the ladder as the Roadrunners representative on both the 1's doubles and 1's singles.

Baseball sophomore left fielder Jacob Mejia from Palm Desert H.S., started in all 11 games during the month of February. He had six multi-hit games and grabbing at least one hit in 9 of 11 games in the month. Mejia finished the month of February first in RBI's (18), first in slugging percentage (.767) and first in home runs (3). He was second in hits (19) and batting average (.488). Mejia also had a .985 fielding percentage, with 52 putouts and only 1 fielding error in the month.
