Congratulations to Emunah Daffon from women's tennis and Joseph Corse from men's tennis for earning the College of the Desert April Student Athletes of the Month honors.

Winning 1st team Singles All-South Coast Conference honors, after finishing as the Conference Singles runner-up to her doubles partner Hana Moss. Then winning the South Coast Conference Doubles Title and being named 1st team Doubles All-South Coast Conference. After the team wrapped up the 3C2A SoCal Regionals in 2nd place, Daffon headed up to The Ojai.  In the Singles bracket, she fell in the Round of 32 in the extra set, but on the Doubles side, Daffon and Moss rolled to an amazing State Championship.

Men's Tennis sophomore Joseph Corse from DeCourcey Christian Academy in Murrieta, pulled off the toughest Championship in the 3C2A, a "Tennis 3-Peat" and was the key in a Roadrunners sweep at The Ojai Men's Tennis 3C2A Championships. Desert would win the team title in an impressive victory over the American River Beavers of Sacramento. Then in the Singles Championship, Corse got the better of teammate freshman Hernan Quiroz (Calexico Vincent Memorial Catholic) in the all-Roadrunners finale. In the Doubles Championship, Corse won the final Title of the "3-Peat," with his Doubles partner sophomore Eita Ishikawa (Yokkaichi (JPN) Technical), both fought a hostile crowd, cheering for their opponents from the host college, to win the Tournament.
